How to Make a Wireless Wii Sensor Bar

The title explains it all: How to Make a Wireless Wii Sensor Bar. A correction: When I say AA battery in the video, I actually mean AAA battery. Yes, I suck at life, but don't care enough to change it =) If you have any questions, post on the comments and I or someone else should be able to help you. -Also, I am planning on making an IR transmitter with a longer range. I noticed that the range on this sensor bar is only about 10 or so feet; it is really finicky or doesn't work at all beyond that. I'll let you know how that goes. Wireless Sensor Networks: Technology and Applications

Wireless sensor networks are destined to see widespread adoption in such diverse sectors as industrial process control, health care, and home automation. The promise and application domain of this field continues to grow, but several false-starts have limited deployments to date. Recent technological breakthroughs in reliability and power consumption have enabled new "industrial strength" networks to finally deliver on the promise of this exciting technology. Brutal standards battles between multi-billion-dollar companies attest to the commercial impact that the technology is now enjoying. This talk will cover some of the history of the field, along with the problems and their solutions, commercial applications, and research directions. January 9th, 2009 by Admin | No Comments »
O2 sensor Bench Test

This is a comparison of 2 wideband O2 sensors for a Honda Civic VX. The first is a new Bosch sensor #13246(Made by NTK) that has an internal fault. The second is a known good unit by NTK from a functioning 1995 VX. Pay attention to the erratic voltage of the Bosch sensor. At one point it even fails to respond. The used NTK has a rapid but steady voltage fluxuation as heat is added, then removed from the tip. This is normal operation. When at operating temperature, the change from 0.9v to 0.1v should be in the approximate 1 second range. January 9th, 2009 by Admin | No Comments »
